Elton John and his husband, David Furnish , made a rare public appearance at the singer's annual Oscars viewing party held at the Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood. The event, co-hosted by Sheryl Lee Ralph, Jean Smart, Neil Patrick Harris, and his husband David Burtka, attracted a star-studded guest list including Megan Thee Stallion, Donatella Versace, Camila Cabello, Paris Jackson, Elizabeth Hurley, Derek Hough, Michael Urie, Sophia Bush, Heidi Klum, and Zooey Deschanel.
Earlier in the evening, John, 77, attended the Academy Awards at the Dolby Theatre, where he was nominated for Best Original Song for “Never Too Late,” a tune he co-wrote with Brandi Carlile for his documentary of the same name. Singer Chappell Roan headlined the entertainment at the party, performing her hits such as “Hot to Go!” and “Good Luck, Babe!” before covering John’s 1970 breakout hit “Your Song.” Roan dedicated the performance to her parents, saying they introduced her to John’s music. She expressed her gratitude to John, stating that he believed in her and her music, playing her song “Pink Pony Club” first.Roan's heartfelt dedication and performance moved John, who joined her on stage for a duet of his 1974 classic “Don’t Let the Sun Go Down on Me.” The evening culminated with John and Furnish posing for photos with their sons, Elijah and Zachary, cementing the celebration as a joyful occasion for the family
