Asked to turn a football chant into a song on Patrick Kielty's 5Live show the Cambridge singer couldn't believe how big it's turned out.
Ellie Dixon had never heard of Celtic until February after she picked a fan favourite chant Jota on the Wing to sing on the radio.
“It’s just going to be me and my guitar. Who needs a drum kit when you’ve got 60,000 backing singers.” Fans pleaded with Ellie, who has had viral success of TikTok before and is signed to major label Decca, to record a proper version which she did posting it on her socials. Today’s game won’t have Rangers fans, after the clubs decided there were too many concerns over security because the hosts are nine points in the lead and Rangers need a win to keep the title race alive and stop their rivals clinching two-in-a-row.
