In its advisory, PAGASA added that heavy rainfall of over 200 millimeters was expected over the northwestern portion of Cagayan and the northern portion of Apayao, Abra, Ilocos Norte, and Ilocos Sur provinces. Egay had weakened on Tuesday evening, but PAGASA warned that “violent and life-threatening conditions” are still expected in some areas in Luzon.
