Egay forces class, work suspension in parts of Cagayan province

Local officials on Tuesday suspended classes and government work in Tuguegarao City and in the towns of Gattaran, Allacapan, and Peñablanca, all in Cagayan province, due to the impact of Super Typhoon EgayPH. | VillVisayaJrINQ /PDI

Heavy rains and strong winds were already felt in Cagayan, but there were still no evacuees reported.

A “no-sailing, no-fishing” policy was enforced in the coastal towns of Isabela and Cagayan. A liquor ban was also ordered in Isabela. Typhoon Signal No. 3 has been hoisted over Babuyan island and the eastern portions of Cagayan , the northeastern portion of Isabela , and the northern portion of Apayao .
