Head coach Rob Edwards is looking for a watfordfc reaction to Saturday’s defeat, but also thinks a reality check is important
Having been beaten at Vicarage Road by QPR on Saturday, head coach Rob Edwards is expecting to see a reaction from his players – but admits with the transfer window still open he can’t be sure if his preparations will be affected or not.
“But it’s going to be challenge because with the transfer window open, anything could happen in the next 24 hours. Nothing has altered with any situation regarding players linked with other clubs, but we all know how quickly that can change.” “Last season was a difficult one for the club, and nobody ever said this season was going to be easy, least of all me.“Our stadium is a great place to come and play. We’ve come down from the Premier League and we’re a bit of a scalp.
“We managed to get ourselves organised again and created a few chances, particularly the disallowed goal. After Saturday’s game, Edwards was particularly disappointed with the manner in which the goals were conceded and cited the way players were drawn to the ball for the third - which left QPR with three against one when it was squared – as a particular example.
