Germany’s Bundesliga resumed its season this weekend after having stopped in mid-March.The resumption of football is a welcome relief as many supporters can now watch – albeit on TV only. Games will be played under stringent lockdown rules, with no spectators allowed at the stadiums.
The long-running tiff between the SA Football Association and Premier Soccer League has been bad for the sport.The call that the PSL and Safa work together for the benefit of domestic football – and not personal egos – has been made many times, but with no positive outcome.
