Nirenberg has been a significant mayor who has earned one more term in office.
, delivered on April 11, was more of reflecting than projecting. It was more about what has been done during his three terms than what will be done during a fourth term.
Nirenberg has eight opponents in this race, but to call any of them serious challengers stretches and wrings all meaning out of the words “serious” and “challengers.” In November of 2020, he led support for a trio of ballot initiatives asking for major investments in early childhood education, public transportation, and workforce development. San Antonio voters approved all three by heavy margins.
