The doll has been 'freaking out' locals, with some saying they believed it would 'come to life' at night.
An Edinburgh charity shop had to put up a sign saying 'I am not creepy' on a doll after locals said it was 'haunted' and 'freaking them out'.
Some even claimed that it "comes to life at night' with others saying the dolls eyes" and that its eyes "follow everyone that walks past". The doll is thought to be a discontinued model from Ashton Drake Galleries, whose "So Truly Real" dolls can sell for up to £200. Simone said: "We've had the doll about three to four weeks - but because we get lots of old dolls, I didn't really think anything of it! I thought it was weird that it had a nappy on it, but otherwise, I wasn't too bothered by it.
Simone understands why people find the doll a bit spooky, but she still hopes it can find a new home.
