Just in time for the summer rush, Edinburgh Airport and Walker's Shortbread have unveiled a vending machine that dispenses free shortbread fingers, which is described as the 'first of its kind'.
Those travelling to the Scottish airport this summer will be able to pick up Walker's Shortbread from the brand new machine during their journey. The iconic biscuit brand unveiled the installation in partnership with the UK’s leading travel retailer, World Duty Free.
Customers will hear how the brand's beloved shortbread recipe has remained in the Walker family recipe books since founder Joseph Walker baked his first batch more than a century ago. At the end, a free Walker’s shortbread finger will be dispensed to enjoy. Managing Director at Walker’s Shortbread Nicky Walker commented: "As a family-run business, we’re thrilled to launch the world’s first shortbread vending machine.
