EastEnders actress Maisie Smith has bravely opened up about her battle with body dysmorphia in a touching song.
Maisie, who recently denied romance rumours with co-star Zack Morris, posted a video of herself on Instagram wearing a pink off the shoulder top while holding a guitar with her long wavy locks tumbling down. The clip shows Maisie, who recently revealed how she deals with social media bullies, singing about her mental health struggle as she sings: “When I was little I would look in the mirror, holding in my stomach wishing that I was thinner because I had a case of body dysmorphia and I still haven’t shaken it off since.”
“Only 13 years old, wiping the tears off my cheeks, it felt like no-one else around me really understood the feeling.”
