Screen Rant is pleased to present an exclusive clip from this week's episode of East New York, which centers Haywood and Suarez in a tough new case. In its first season, the CBS series follows a working-class neighborhood on the edge of Brooklyn in the midst of social upheaval and the early seeds of gentrification. Deputy inspector Regina Haywood leads her team with a strong sense of justice, hoping to create a police force that engages with its community rather than opposes it.

Alongside Warren's Haywood, Jimmy Smits stars as her mentor, Chief John Suarez. Elizabeth Rodriguez plays Detective Crystal Morales, and Kevin Rankin plays Detective First Grade Tommy Killian. The series features even more talented actors in its strong case, including Ruben Santiago-Hudson, Richard King, Lavel Schley, and Olivia Luccardi also star.
East New York is one among many top dramas currently airing on CBS. Its FBI and NCIS franchises are still much beloved, with the NCIS: Los Angeles spinoff coming to a close after 14 seasons. The Equalizer, meanwhile, is a revamp of the classic Denzel Washington-led franchise, starring Queen Latifah as an ex-CIA operative who now mans her own independent operation to rescue those in distress.
East New York airs Sunday, April 23 at 9pm ET/PT on the CBS Television Network. The episode will be available to stream on Paramount+.
