With both starting quarterbacks injured, Tanner McKee and Ian Book are set to face the Giants in the Eagles' regular season finale.

Eagles quarterback Tanner McKee has been in the concussion protocol since the first quarter of the Week 16 loss to the Washington Commanders, leaving his status in limbo. Backup quarterback and Ocean Township native Ian Book is also dealing with a rib injury that forced him to exit last week’s NFC East-clinching win over the Dallas Cowboys.

Both players are likely to watch from the sidelines as two quarterbacks with limited game experience take the field for the regular-season finale against the Giants at Lincoln Financial Field on Sunday afternoon. McKee and Book were the only quarterbacks at Friday’s practice at the NovaCare Complex, participating in rollout drills and simulating snaps under center. McKee completed three of four passes for 54 yards and two touchdowns in relief of Pickett last week, and Sunday would mark his first NFL start. Book, who entered the league in 2021, has played in just one NFL game, starting for the New Orleans Saints on Dec. 27, 2021. In that game, he completed 12 of 20 passes for 135 yards, with no touchdowns and two interceptions. No Jalen Hurts or Kenny Pickett on the field again for practice. Tanner McKee and Ian Book are the quarterbacks working in preparation for facing the Giants on Sunday.
