Saquon Barkley is on the verge of breaking the NFL single-season rushing record while the New York Giants look to secure a high draft pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.

The Eagles won, 27-13.Perhaps the biggest source of drama in the run-up to this game was the status of running back Saquon Barkley as he sits 101 yards shy of Eric Dickerson’s single-season NFL record of 2,105 yards.
In last week’s 41-7 win over the Dallas Cowboys, Barkley rushed for 167 yards on 31 carries on his way to becoming the ninth player in NFL history to top 2,000 yards in a single season. Barkley will finish with 2,005 yards and 13 touchdowns on the ground, likely giving way to Kenneth Gainwell, Will Shipley and others to try and keep the Eagles offense on the move against New York. Meanwhile, the Giants are one of our teams entering Week 18 with a 3-13 record and sit fourth among that group in the current pecking order in the 2025 NFL Draft after beating the Indianapolis Colts last week. The Giants infamously chose to move on from Barkley this offseason only to see him sign with their division rivals and prove their brass wrong about opting to give big money to since-released quarterback Daniel Jones.
