The Eagles made one practice squad elevation ahead of Thursday night's game against the Washington Commanders.

There will be a third tight end available Thursday night when they face the Washington Commanders, and it will be a veteran player who previously played for the Jets. The Eagles elevated C.J. Uzomah from the practice squad on Thursday.

. Last season with the Jets, Uzomah had eight catches for 58 yards and a touchdown before an MCL injury forced him to miss the remainder of the season. The Eagles signed him to a one-year deal this offseason, but Calcaterra’s improvement and E.J. Jenkins’ strong preseason left Uzomah as the odd man out, eventually placing him on the team’s practice squad in October. The Eagles needed to make room for left tackle Jordan Mailata’s return from injured reserve, creating the need to open a spot on the 53-man roster, which led to Stoll being waived. The Eagles would have liked to keep him, potentially adding him back to the practice squad, but the Miami Dolphins claimed him off waivers. Without Stoll, Uzomah remained the primary option because he still had all three practice-squad elevations available, while fellow practice-squad tight end Jenkins had none left after the team used his final elevation last week against the Jacksonville Jaguars., the Eagles have used “13″ personnel 17 times this season, so Uzomah will only see limited snaps, if any, on offense. He could contribute on the kickoff and punt return teams with his blocking experience, especially on the edge, to potentially set up a sideline return.Commanders vs. Eagles top game and player prop best bets: We love this prop with +425 oddsEagles-Commanders: The reasons why it is this year’s preferred NFC East primetime game Thank you for relying on us to provide the journalism you can trust.
