The DWP can stop your PIP payments for a number of reasons

Personal Independence Payments are a lifeline for thousands of UK households grappling with long-term physical or mental health conditions and disabilities. This benefit offers additional financial support to those who find everyday tasks or mobility challenging due to their health condition.

However, PIP rates are set to rise by 1.7 percent from April 7, 2025, increasing the maximum amount to £9,747.40. The new rates from April next year are: Lower weekly rate - rising from £72.65 to £73.90; Higher weekly rate - rising from £108.55 to £110.40; Lower weekly rate - rising from £28.70 to 30.20; Higher weekly rate - rising from £75.75 to £77.05.

If you're a PIP recipient, ensure to note when your claim ends or is up for review from your approval letter. You'll need to complete and send back the 'Award review - how your disability affects you' form within a month to avoid issues with the Department for Work and Pensions .
