The Department for Work and Pensions has published full details of who will get the Winter Fuel Payment this year and how much it will be worth.
The 2023/2024 Winter Fuel Payment guidance answers a range of questions people might have. The support is designed to help people born before September 25, 1957 with heating costs during winter.If you are entitled to a Winter Fuel Payment, you will also get an extra £150 or £300 top-up with your normal payment from November. This forms part of the government's new cost of living financial support package and means eligible households could receive between £250 and £600.
