A company specializing in equipment and solutions for the global ice cream industry is expanding operations in the Columbus area with a new manufacturing facility, which will add 60 jobs to the company's existing 28 local positions.
The $33 million investment marks an expansion of Dupon's existing corporate and logistics presence in Columbus, according to the release, and will add manufacturing capabilities to support growing demand in North America. "This expansion represents an important next step for our company as we grow our presence in the United States," said Dick D'Hoore, Owner and CEO, Dupon USA in a press release. "Columbus offers the access, infrastructure and business environment we need to support our customers and scale our operations. We are proud to continue building our future here and to be part of a strong and growing community." Columbus Mayor Andrew Ginther also shared a statement: "Dupon USA's decision to expand its operations and add manufacturing capacity here is a sweet vote of confidence for Columbus," Ginther said.
