The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) said on Thursday, June 4 it is awaiting the enactment into law of the proposed “Bayanihan to Recover as One” bill or the Bayanihan 2.
DSWD Secretary Rolando Bautista said the DSWD is currently reviewing the provisions of Senate Bill No. 1564, which grants P5,000 to P8,000 emergency subsidy to low-income households in areas under enhanced community quarantine and to households with recently-returned overseas Filipino workers .
The Senate already approved on second reading the measure, which grants a one-month emergency subsidy to qualified low-income households that have not received it in the past three months as mandated by Republic Act No. 11469 or the Bayanihan to Heal as One Act.
