An Alameda County Sheriff deputy is in the hospital after being hit by a drunk driver early Sunday morning in Oakland.
, investigators said. The driver allegedly ran a red light at a high rate of speed before hitting the deputy.In photos released by the Sheriff's office, a shattered vehicle is seen on its side on the lawn of Foothill Missionary Baptist Church. Photos of the patrol car show the front end completely smashed.A drunk driver ran a red light and hit a patrol car.
Alameda County SheriffIt's unclear whether the deputy was attempting to pull over the driver when the collision happened.
