The man who police said had been driving the wrong way before the Sept. 2 crash was charged with homicide by vehicle while DUI and aggravated assault by vehicle while DUI.

in Lehigh County had a blood-alcohol level more than three times the legal limit at the time, the county district attorney announced.

Brian McGoldrick, 42, of Glenside, Pa., was arraigned Thursday on charges including homicide by vehicle while DUI and aggravated assault by vehicle while DUI in connection with the Sept. 2 crash in Hanover Township that killed Catherine Ann Neelon, 55, of Allentown. McGoldrick was released on $25,000 unsecured bail in the case, court records show. A message for his defense attorney was not immediately returned.
