Police in Lancaster County are looking for the driver who caused a hit-and-run crash that seriously injured a man early Wednesday.
A 47-year-old man was refilling his car’s tank after running out of gas just after midnight on the 900 block of Lancaster Avenue in Columbia, according to police. Police said a passing eastbound car hit the man at about 12:19 a.m. and left the scene without stopping to check on him or call 911. The man suffered minor to moderate injuries and was taken to a hospital.
Officers found car parts at the crash scene indicating the involved vehicle was a black 2015-2018 Nissan Versa. The car will be missing its passenger-side mirror and could have other damage to the passenger side, police said.
