A man is dead after crashing into a concrete building in West Queen Anne Saturday morning.
Officers were dispatched to a collision near Elliott Avenue West and West Galer Street at 2:48 a.m. A 41-year-old driver was found inside the vehicle. The Seattle Fire Department pronounced him dead when they arrived.A King County Medical Examiner investigator arrived and took custody of the body. They will determine the cause of death.
Detectives with the Traffic Collision Investigations Squad processed the collision scene when they arrived. According to officials, the driver was traveling southbound at a high rate of speed on 15th Avenue West when he lost control of his vehicle when the roadway turns into Elliott Avenue West. The vehicle then hit a parked car north of West Galer Street before crashing into a concrete building in the 1400 block of Elliott Avenue West.
