A glamourous outfit worn by drag royalty Danny La Rue can be seen by visitors to the Edinburgh Fringe.
This model has the time of his life posing for snaps dressed in glam costumes worn by the “grande dame of drag” Danny La Rue, which are on display in Edinburgh .
The highlight is La Rue’s iconic Carmen Miranda dress, which the entertainer wore as a tribute to the singer, dancer and actress.The costume is one of three worn by La Rue on show at George Pirie Antiques alongside the Fringe Festival. Top news stories today George Pirie, who will put them up for sale after the display, said: “La Rue was entertaining people in costumes like these long before TV’s Drag Race.”
