Over the last five years, the alliance has planted 130,000 flowers, 68 trees, interacted with 20,000 tourists, cleaned 7,000 storm drains, removed 1,100 hits of graffiti, collected more than 200 tons of trash, and assisted 1,100 motorists jump offs.
He says there’s also growth in residential investment. He mentioned 600 apartments downtown representing hundreds of millions of dollars of investment, 87% occupancy in the office space market, and the number of hotel rooms nearly tripled. Rendfrey says he is excited about several aspects of transportation downtown, like the street optimization project and the options Amtrak could provide.
