DOTHAN, Ala. - After years of delays and deadline extensions, the STAR ID security program officially took effect this morning. Dothan Airport reported no issues with passengers not having STAR ID on their driver’s license.
“Happy to say not one single passenger issue with it today through two flights,” airport director Adam Hartzog told WTVY News4 in a text message. Beginning today, passengers flying domestically or entering a federal building must have a STAR ID. Those without the endorsement should have another acceptable form of identification, such as a passport.
