Donut Labs has developed a new generation of in-wheel motors that can be used in various vehicles, from electric scooters to aircraft. These motors offer several advantages, including increased efficiency, reduced development time, and the potential to eliminate traditional drivetrain components. The company's flagship motor boasts impressive power output and weight savings, while other sizes cater to specific applications like semi-trucks, drones, and motorcycles.

The motors have been developed in different sizes and suit a slew of applications. The largest 21-inch motor weighs just 40 kg yet packs a serious punch. Other motors suit electric scooters, motorcycles, drones, and aircraft. Most electric vehicles on the market have electric motors located between the wheels but a company named Donut Labs has just unveiled an in-wheel motor that could shake up future EVs.
