Alyssa Donkersloot scored twice to lift Johnson to a 2-1 overtime victory against Mountain Lakes.

At halftime, she marched off the field, partially frustrated she wasn’t able to break a scoreless tie.Donkersloot scored twice and fittingly supplied the heroics in overtime to lift fifth-seeded Johnson to a 2-1 win over fourth-seeded Mountain Lakes in the quarterfinal round of the North Jersey, Group 1 tournament in Mountain Lakes.“I started off with a really rough game,” Donkersloot said. “I got in my head, and then once I finally got myself together, I got the first goal and the second goal.

“Oh, 100%,” she said. “I was getting in my head every single time I made a type of shot and she saved it. Very frustrating, but you just got to work around it. She’s a great goalie. Her saves were incredible.” All of the momentum Johnson had built in the first 45 minutes of play seemed to disappear but it slowly got back to playing with speed and Mountain Lakes had trouble keeping up.
