BUTLER, Pa. — Donald Trump was whisked off the stage at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania afterTrump was showing off a chart of border crossing numbers when bangs started ringing through the crowd. Trump could be seen reaching with his right hand toward his neck. There appeared to be blood on his face.
“It’s like a highly sophisticated version of ‘The Apprentice,’” he said in a radio interview Friday afternoon, referring to the show he once hosted that featured him firing contestants on camera. Excerpts of his speech released by his campaign that night included the line, “So tonight, I am officially” — ending the sentence there.
“It doesn’t matter, in my opinion, which Democrat put up. These are Democratic policies that put us where we are, it’s not Joe Biden. It’s his Cabinet, it’s the heirarchy of the Democratic Party. So it doesn’t matter who the person’s name is on the ticket. It’s the Democrats that got us where we are and we need a change," he said.“I think the energy’s so high for Trump, I don’t think nothing can stop us," she said.
To that end, the RNC made a change to its rules Thursday, which is expected to be adopted Monday, that will make it easier for Trump to announce at the last minute.
