Activist Lara Loomer is among the Trump supporters gathered ahead of the expected arrival of Trump later Tuesday afternoon.
Included among the protesters, journalists, and police assembled outside the courthouse are vendors who are selling Trump-themed merchandise, along with Trump supporters who are live streaming the protests ahead of Trump's arrival. Among the crowd was one individual who was protesting the former president. Most of the people outside of the courthouse are locals, but some traveled to Miami for the arraignment, including some who flew from Texas.
Despite anticipated crowds, members of the media and police outnumbered protesters outside the Wilkie D. Ferguson Jr. U.S. Courthouse. Trump is expected to leave the Trump National Doral Miami, where he was staying overnight, to head to the courthouse shortly.
Trump is the first current or former president to be federally indicted. He was indicted on state charges by a grand jury in Manhattan in March.
