The speeding muscle car came to an abrupt halt after slamming into three cars at an intersection and injuring two drivers
The engine and battery were thrown from the Challenger in the crash. One police officer was injured while attempting to stop the Dodge with a spike strip. Authorities used a helicopter and K9 units to try and track down the driver. A Dodge Challenger has been destroyed and at least two people have been hurt after a high-speed police chase in Spring Lake, North Carolina last week. Authorities started to chase a white Challenger at around 7:29 p.m.
Watch: Dodge Challenger Slams Into U-Turning Honda Civic Sparking Confrontation WRAL News reports the Challenger reached as fast as 150 mph during the chase and while the driver was able to out-sprint the police, it wasn’t long before the chase ended in a dramatic accident. It’s reported the driver crashed at the intersection of McKenzie Road and N.C. 24 in Spring Lake, hitting at least three other vehicles. Two innocent drivers were injured in the crash and were taken to a nearby hospital.
