The young teenager led police on a short but high-speed chase before pulling over and submitting to authorities
Police initially pulled over the 13-year-old before the child led officers on a five-mile 140-mph chase. Authorities reported no injuries as a result of the chase and booked the child into jail afterward. The youngster is only the latest to end up facing serious consequences after driving illegally. A Florida Highway Patrolman's routine traffic stop around 3:40 am took a sharp turn when a red Dodge Challenger sped off as he approached the vehicle.

Police took him into custody at the intersection of Immokalee Road and Quarry Drive. They booked him into jail for fleeing law enforcement and for driving without a license. The car in question is his stepfather's vehicle.
