Until the change in policy, which took effect Oct. 1, all drivers in that age group had to pass the test .
Drivers of any age will be required to take the test for renewal if their record shows any of the following:Three or more accidents during the three years preceding the expiration of the license.A violation point count greater than one in the two years preceding the expiration.
