Disney has removed a transgender storyline from its animated series 'The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers', citing parental preference for discussing sensitive topics with their children. The character remains in the show, but dialogue related to their gender identity has been cut. Disney stated that they recognize many parents would prefer to guide these conversations.

The Hollywood Reporter shared the details of the decision, along with a response from Disney., examines eight characters as the team gets ready for it championship game, exploring the lives of players, parents and an umpire.

The cast includes “Saturday Night Live” alum Will Forte, Ian Chen , Izaac Wang , Kyliegh Curran , Josh Thomson , Milan Elizabeth Ray , Jo Firestone , Edward Hong, Rosanna Jean Foss , Erin Keif and Orion Tran. While the character whose transgender storyline has been removed is still on the show, dialogue that talked about their gender identity is not.
