Dimitar Berbatov has sent a message to Wayne Rooney after the pair played alongside each other once again for Manchester United Legends - at an appreciative Old Trafford - on Saturday afternoon. Rooney netted a stunning free-kick at Old Trafford during the charity game which raised funds for the Manchester United Foundation. United drew 1-1 against Celtic Legends before the Scottish side won 5-4 on penalties.

'The Odd Couple,' he said in an Instagram post, which can be seen below. The pair - or should that be odd couple - won countless major trophies during their time at United under Sir Alex Ferguson together. Berbatov left United to join Fulham in 2012, before Rooney departed to re-join Everton in 2017.
