Matthijs de Ligt is expected to play a significant part in Manchester United's season as Erik ten Hag's side look to leak less goals and improve last season's eighth place finish
Former Manchester United striker Dimitar Berbatov has raised his concerns over whether Matthjis de Ligt will be able to keep fit amid the demands of the Premier League.
However, Berbatov shared his concern over whether the 25-year-old will be able to keep fit given his injury record in the past. Every year between 2019 and 2024, De Ligt has spent time sidelined with some sort of injury. "Obviously Ten Hag knows him. They were at Ajax together. Then he moved to Juventus and then Bayern Munich. That jumping from team to team, some can argue against this, but the thing is that every team he went to, they became champions. So let's hope that it's good karma and he brings it to United.
