about the biggest pet peeves for travelers listed DFW as the airport with the most complaints in the country, just ahead of Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport and Los Angeles International Airport.
Much of that is due to the fact that DFW, along with Atlanta and LAX, is among the busiest airports in the country, so passengers have lots of opportunities to find something to complain about. Those are also hubs for major airlines, where lots of passengers get off one flight and onto another, increasing the likelihood of being stuck with long delays or cancellations. About 60% of DFW’s 62 million annual passengers are connecting.
“I think how crowded some of these airports are can affect how people are viewing their travel plans,” said Kyle Beierlein, a research assistant with UpgradedPoints.com.Other passenger complaints were predictable. Seat kicking, rude passengers and line cutters were high on the annoyance list, while ultra-low-cost carriers such as Spirit Airlines, Frontier Airlines and Allegiant Air were among the most complained about airlines, according to the survey. JetBlue Airlines was also high on the list.
