Desperate search for missing diver who vanished off coast
A Coastguard helicopter from Sumburgh airport in Shetland is assisting in the desperate search operation.The Pentland Firth is a stretch of sea between Caithness in the north of Scotland and Orkney.A HM Coastguard spokesperson said: "HM Coastguard is coordinating the search for a diver in Pentland Firth. The alarm was raised today at about 6pm.
"The Coastguard helicopter from Sumburgh has been sent to assist, along with RNLI boats from Longhope and Wick, and Coastguard Rescue Teams from Kirkwall and St Margaret's Hope. Three nearby vessels are also supporting."
