Locals have described hearing a man 'screaming for help' in a Scots town - with bloody handprints visible near the scene.
Pictures from the scene where a man died show blood on the ground and smeared on window ledges.around 4.20pm on Saturday, following reports of an injured man. Officers attended but a 35-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.
A 34-year-old man has been charged in connection with the incident and is expected to appear in court on Monday.Other images showed police standing guard after the area was locked down, with evidence markers lining the street. The walls of the tenement building and parts of the pavement were also stained red with blood. Officers were then spotted at a property on nearby Campbell Street, where police tape was stuck over a door.
Police Scotland have since confirmed the activity on Campbell Street is linked to the Tennant Street incident. Locals told the Record how they heard a man shouting for help shortly before emergency services descended on the scene.
