“In the time we’ve been open, we’ve gotten thousands of queer books into the hands of the people who’ve needed them the most, and have become more than just a bookstore,” an unsigned post on Petals & Pages’ account said.
“We’ve connected with our community in the most transformative way and we will always be grateful for that.” The store, located at 956 Santa Fe Drive, was founded in 2022. The shop often held community events and doubled as a writer’s workshop with a table dedicated to writers to practice their craft and learn from industry professionals.
