Denton County Public Health on Wednesday said four new cases of West Nile Virus have been reported in Denton County, bringing the total number of cases to seven so far for on the year.
The four new cases occurred in Little Elm, Roanoke, Flower Mound and Fort Worth, county officials said. All four people were diagnosed with West Nile Virus Neuroinvasive Disease, a complication of West Nile infection that occurs inDenton County officials urged the public to take preventative measures to reduce mosquito breeding sites and use insect repellant.
