“Our D-line really controlled the line of scrimmage,” Deer Park coach Austin Flynn said. “They played winning football all night, and our offensive line did, too.Quarterback Rafael Robles – who was playing in his first game since injuring his throwing shoulder against Clear Brook – was hurt after a pass in the second quarter and left for two series, leaving the Deer struggling to regain their form.
Pasadena Memorial dropped to 4-4, 2-2 in district, with games against Pasadena and Channelview remaining, putting their playoff hopes in jeopardy.
