State police in Cambria County are seeking the public's help in solving the 1974 homicide of Barbara Ann Mangus, who was last seen leaving a Christmas party. Her body was found by a hunter weeks later.

Investigators say 21-year-old Barbara Ann Mangus was reported missing, on December 15, 1974, after she was last seen leaving a work Christmas Party at the "This Is It" club, located along Frankstown Road. Police say witnesses reported Mangus leaving the venue, on foot, after reportedly getting into an argument with her husband.

Authorities say Mangus reportedly attempted to walk to her home, in downtown Johnstown, which was approximately four to five miles from the club. Police say on the morning of Dec. 31, 1974, Mangus' body was reportedly found by a hunter along a private road in Middle Taylor Township.Anyone with information that could assist investigators in the case is asked to contact PSP Ebensburg, at 814-472-1653, or the PSP tipline, at 1-800-4PA-TIPS .
