'Late Show' legend David Letterman weighed in on the show's cancelation
of clips from various “Late Show With David Letterman” shows dating as far back as 1994. The clips all had one thing in common: Letterman threw shade at CBS in each of them.Given the timing of the upload, the video seems like a reaction to Stephen Colbert’s recent announcement that the “Late Show” will come to an end in 2026.
Colbert took over the “Late Show” hosting gig from Letterman in 2015. Prior to the show’s 1993 CBS premiere, Letterman hosted “Late Night With David Letterman” on NBC from 1982 to 1993.
