Rafael Nadal faces an almighty task to get past the first round of his final French Open appearance after being drawn to face Alexander Zverev.The Spaniard has won an unprecedented 14 French Open titles in his career, earning him the moniker as the 'King of Clay'.
It wasn’t exactly the season first year coach David Dews was hoping for, but it was still a successful season for the Wallace Lady Govs softball team. After beginning the school year with barely enough players to field a team, the Lady Govs finished the year at 24-22 with a trip to the district tournament. It also ended with Dews having a winning record in his first season at Wallace.
Several times during the season, the Lady Govs had losing streaks of four or more games, including one losing streak of eight games. But down the stretch they put things together, winning 12 consecutive games. “When we got here, our roster was extremely low," Dews said."I was worried that maybe we don’t have enough players to have a team. We were fortunate enough to add some transfers and some kids that helped us fill that roster.
“You’re always trying to build trust. When you’re coming into a new program, trying to develop trust with returning players and develop a good relationship with your players can be difficult. I think that happened over time, but it was a slow process.
