Six high-ranking Dauphin County Democrats are calling for Rogette Harris , the Democratic Committee Chair , to resign. This comes after the vice-chair, Cole Goodman , resigned this morning.
The elected officials are citing dysfunction within the Dauphin County Clerk of Courts, in which Harris held an important role. The letter signed by county commissioners and state representatives says, "These reports at minimum reflect poorly on the Dauphin County Democratic Committee, and will also distract from the important work that lays ahead of us. At this time, we believe it is in the best interests of the Dauphin County Democratic Committee that we have new leadership.”I am not going to resign from my elected position of Dauphin County Democratic Committee Chair.
