Although the Grand Inquisitor died in Star Wars Rebels, his last words darkly came true thanks to Darth Vader after The Empire Strikes Back.
Darth Vader has a horrific Force power in Star Wars, ensuring that his Inquisitors during the Dark Times of the Empire would continue to serve him even after death. Recruited ahead of Order 66 and the Jedi Purge, the Inquisitors were all Jedi who'd been corrupted by Palpatine. Placed under the command of Darth Vader, these new Jedi hunters proved themselves to be merciless tools who helped bring about the dominance of the Empire from the ashes of the fallen Republic.

However, Luke defeated the spirit and left the Jedi outpost before Vader arrived to see whom he had caught. Speaking with the Grand Inquisitor's spirit, Vader refused to release him, claiming that the Jedi hunter had become nothing more than a tool to be used as Vader saw fit, forced to continue serving him even in death .
