The Dallas Stars made an additional offseason move Tuesday to clear up some space on their tight salary cap.

Faksa had an up and down year for Dallas in 2023-24 but improved as the season progressed. He scored just three goals in his first 54 games of the season, was injured for part of the year and was a healthy scratch at times in the regular season and playoffs.But toward the end of the season, Faksa scored four goals in 20 games, finishing the regular season with 19 points. He anchored Dallas’ fourth line, which was one of the team’s most consistent down the stretch.
The Czech forward is skilled in the face-off circle and on the penalty kill and will be a reliable depth forward for St. Louis.
