Eight out of the nine DA provincial leaders support incumbent DA leader John Steenhuisen's bid for a second term, with at least one arguing electing a black leader will not be indicative of the party's growth.
"I am supporting John Steenhuisen. I think people and the media need to move away from saying that we need a black leader in the party to grow the party. We had a black leader before.
