David Petkiewicz, cleveland.comBRECKSVILLE, Ohio -- Cuyahoga Valley National Park in Ohio and Dartmoor National Park in the United Kingdom have established an international sister park arrangement during a visit by Dartmoor leadership to CVNP from June 4-8.
The two parks share similarities as open spaces near metropolitan areas that offer recreational activities like biking and kayaking. Both parks also partner with local communities on environmental restoration and improving visitor experiences. CVNP encompasses more than 33,000 acres along the Cuyahoga River between Cleveland and Akron. Managed by the National Park Service, it combines cultural, historical, recreational, and natural resources.
