Cucumber cups, bowls and salads are being recalled in the latest of several cucumber recalls linked to a multistate outbreak of salmonella.Texas-based Supreme Service Solutions, LLC, announced the voluntary recall on Wednesday, involving Supreme Product cucumber products sold in Kroger and King Soopers retail stores in Texas and Colorado.The cucumbers were purchased from SunFed Produce LLC, of Arizona, which is currently at the center of an investigation by the U.S.
Rarely, salmonellosis can result in bacteria getting into the bloodstream, which can cause more severe illnesses such as infected blood vessels, heart inflammation and arthritis.Symptoms of salmonella usually start between six hours and six days after eating contaminated food and tend to last for four to seven days. So far, no one has died in connection with this outbreak and no illnesses or complaints have been reported for items purchased from Supreme.
